What is a marketing analytics virtual assistant?
A marketing analytics virtual assistant is a remote assistant who keeps a business's marketing measurement running: setting up and maintaining dashboards, checking that tracking and conversion events fire, enforcing UTM naming, pulling data from GA4, Search Console, ad platforms, email tools and e-commerce stores, and writing weekly and monthly reports with commentary. At AssistBPO the assistant is an employee of the group working under seats in the client's own analytics accounts.

Deliverables and KPIs
AssistBPO reports 6 measures on the marketing analytics desk: what lands on your desk, what we count, and how often you see the number.
| Deliverable | KPI we report | Cadence |
|---|---|---|
| Weekly report sent | Delivered every Monday with commentary | Weekly |
| Dashboard current | All connectors live, refreshed on schedule | Daily, in the end-of-day report |
| Tracking verified | Conversion events tested and passing | Monthly and before every launch |
| UTM discipline | Share of campaign links using the convention | Weekly |
| Anomalies caught | Breaks flagged within one business day | Per incident |
| Report accuracy QA | Team lead reconciliation of a sample of figures to source | Monthly |
KPIs are what we measure and report, agreed per engagement in the weekly review. Service-level commitments are set in your agreement, not on this page.
How does the marketing analytics desk work?
-
Match
A 20-minute discovery call on your channels, tools, the questions you need answered and who reads the reports. Within 72 hours we propose a named analytics assistant with GA4 and dashboard experience in your stack, plus a trained backup.
-
Onboard
You grant viewer or editor access to GA4, Tag Manager, Search Console, ad accounts, email platform and store analytics. We audit tracking, document every data source, agree the metric definitions and the UTM convention, and build the first dashboard and report template for your sign-off.
-
Daily rhythm
The assistant opens with a connector and anomaly check across sources, then works the queue: report builds, tracking tests, UTM links, ad-hoc pulls and dashboard fixes. The end-of-day report notes any break found, what was fixed and what is waiting on your access or decision.
-
Weekly review
Twenty minutes with the team lead on the Monday report: what moved, why, and what the numbers suggest for next week. Monthly, the full report is walked through and the team lead reconciles a sample of figures back to source on the QA scorecard.
Hours, coverage and models
AssistBPO staffs the marketing analytics desk on 3 models. US Eastern to Pacific, UK and Canadian business hours from the group's two offices; Australian Eastern shifts available on request. Monday reports are in your inbox before your day starts.

These are rate-card starting points. What you pay depends on the hours, the desk and the coverage window, which is what the staffing plan sets. Rates improve as you add assistants. Your staffing plan states the rate for the number of seats you need. The rate card carries the other currencies, the add-ons and the six things that move a plan off it.
How much do marketing analytics cost?
Plans start at $400 a month for 40 hours, at $10 an hour, and rates improve as you add assistants. Get a staffing plan within 1 business day.
What moves the plan
- Hours a week and whether the desk is dedicated or shared
- Phones: live answering needs a receptionist profile and a backup
- Coverage zone: business hours, after-hours, weekends or 24/7
- Tools and access to set up
- One person or a pod with a lead

Frequently asked questions
How much does a marketing analytics virtual assistant cost?
Plans depend on hours, desks and coverage. Get a staffing plan within 1 business day. For orientation, premium US services publish $65 to $79 an hour for specialist assistants and managed offshore providers $7 to $15 an hour (Magic and Staffify 2026 roundups; Wishup cost guide). AssistBPO prices a dedicated assistant per person for a block of hours; dashboard and connector subscriptions stay in your name.
Is this a data analyst or a reporting assistant?
Closer to a reporting assistant with GA4 and dashboard skills. The assistant keeps tracking honest, builds and maintains dashboards, pulls and reconciles numbers, writes clear commentary and answers ad-hoc questions. Statistical modeling, data engineering and warehouse work are not in scope; where you have an analyst, the assistant becomes their hands.
Which tools and data sources do you work with?
GA4, Google Tag Manager, Search Console, Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads and Amazon Advertising; Klaviyo, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign and HubSpot; Shopify, WooCommerce and Amazon Seller Central; HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive for pipeline. Dashboards are built in Looker Studio, Google Sheets, Power BI or Tableau under your account, with Supermetrics or Zapier as connectors when needed.
Can you fix our GA4 setup?
Yes, within an audit and clean-up block: events and conversions, channel groupings, internal traffic filters, cross-domain tracking, consent mode and Tag Manager hygiene. Changes are made only after you approve the list, documented in a change log, and tested. If the fix needs developer work on the site, the assistant writes the ticket and tests the result.
What is in the weekly report?
Sessions and users by channel, leads or revenue by channel and campaign, ad spend and efficiency, email performance, top content and any tracking issues, with three lines of commentary on what moved and why and one suggested action. It lands every Monday morning and doubles as the agenda for the weekly review.
How do you make sure the numbers are right?
Every metric is defined in a shared document with its source. Reports are reconciled to the platform before sending, and store or CRM revenue is the source of truth where the two disagree. Tracking is tested monthly and before every launch. The team lead reconciles a sample of figures to source on the monthly QA scorecard.
Can the assistant handle attribution?
To the model you choose: GA4's data-driven or last-click, platform-reported, or a simple first-touch and last-touch view built in a sheet. The assistant explains the differences plainly, keeps the model consistent across reports and flags when platform numbers and store numbers diverge. Multi-touch modeling beyond the standard tools is out of scope.
Do you work with our agency's reports?
Yes. The assistant can rebuild an agency's report in your own dashboard so the numbers are independent, check their tracking claims, and reconcile spend and results to your platforms. Agencies also use our assistants to produce their client reports, which keeps their strategists on strategy.
