E-commerce & operations desk

Ecommerce operations outsourcing on the E-commerce & operations desk keeps your store moving every day. Listings updated on every channel, orders processed the same day, inventory tracked, marketplace messages answered, suppliers chased and returns approved on time.

Ten services for Shopify, Amazon, Etsy, eBay, WooCommerce and dropshipping brands, run by named assistants in your hours.

Why this desk is different at AssistBPO

An online store runs on a hundred small daily tasks, and the owner is usually doing all of them at 11pm. The E-commerce & operations desk takes the operating load: product listings written and kept consistent across channels, orders and exceptions processed the same day, stock levels and reorder points tracked, supplier and freight emails handled, returns and RMAs authorized to your policy, and Amazon cases opened and followed. Each assistant is a named employee of the group with a trained backup and a team lead, working inside your Shopify, Seller Central and marketplace accounts. Add customer service from the Customer support desk under the same lead, and scale to a pod for Q4 without hiring a seasonal team.

KPIs we report

KPIWhy it matters
Same-day order processingOrders received before the cutoff are fulfilled or pushed to the supplier the same day. Exceptions are listed by order number in the end-of-day report.
Listing accuracy and completenessWrong attributes and missing images cost sales and returns. We audit a sample of listings weekly against your catalog data.
Stockouts and overstockDays out of stock on top sellers and weeks of cover on slow ones, reported weekly so reorders happen before the shelf is empty.
Marketplace response timeAmazon, Etsy and eBay measure it and penalize you for it. We report message response time against each platform's window.
Returns turnaroundDays from return request to authorization and refund. Slow returns become chargebacks and bad reviews.
QA scorecardThe team lead scores listings, orders and supplier communications monthly on accuracy, policy and completeness.

Frequently asked questions

Which platforms do you work in?

Shopify and Shopify Plus, Amazon Seller Central and Vendor Central, Etsy, eBay, Walmart Marketplace, WooCommerce and the apps around them for inventory, shipping, reviews and email. Assistants work through staff accounts and user permissions you control, so every change is logged under a named user and access can be changed at any time. Inventory, shipping and review apps are covered under the same permissions, so the assistant can work end to end.

How much does ecommerce operations outsourcing cost?

Plans depend on hours, desks and coverage. Get a staffing plan within 1 business day. For orientation, managed offshore assistants are published at $7 to $15 an hour or $640 to $2,400 a month full-time, against $4,700 to $9,100 a month loaded for an in-house hire in the US (Wishup 2026 Industry Report). We price per assistant for a block of hours, or as a pod for peak seasons.

Can you handle Amazon cases, FBA and account health?

Yes. The Amazon virtual assistant service covers Seller Central admin: listing fixes, suppressed ASINs, FBA shipments and reconciliations, reimbursement cases, review and feedback management and account health monitoring. We do not promise ranking or review outcomes, and we follow Amazon's policies exactly, because a suspended account is a far bigger cost than a slow case. Case history is logged in a tracker you can see, with the case ID, date and status.

How do you handle seasonal peaks?

With a pod. The assistant who knows your store leads a small team that has run your SOPs, scaled up for Q4, a launch or a sale, and scaled back afterwards. Because the SOPs and the lead stay the same, quality holds during the peak and you are not training temps in November. Planning starts in the monthly review two months before the peak, with volumes, cutoffs and staffing agreed.

Do you also do customer service for our store?

Yes, through the Customer support desk, which handles where-is-my-order, returns questions and pre-sale chat inside Gorgias, Zendesk or your marketplace inbox. Many stores put operations and support under one team lead so the person processing the return and the person answering about it share the same notes. Where-is-my-order questions drop sharply once the operations desk is syncing tracking numbers on time, which is the point of putting both together.

What do you do about suppliers and shipping?

The supplier and logistics service manages purchase orders, confirmations, production updates, shipment tracking, customs documents and freight forwarder emails, with a weekly inbound schedule and exceptions flagged early. For dropshipping, orders are pushed to suppliers daily and tracking synced back to the store. Contract terms and pricing negotiations stay with you. Every open purchase order is listed with its expected date in the weekly report.

How do you keep our store and customer data safe?

Assistants are background-checked employees of the group under NDA, on managed devices with MFA and no local storage, working through staff accounts with the permissions you set. Payment and card data stay inside Shopify, Amazon or your payment provider; we never export it. Supplier pricing and margins are treated as confidential under the NDA. Staff accounts are reviewed monthly and closed the day an engagement ends.

Can you build or fix our product catalog?

Yes, as a project. We standardize titles, attributes, variants, categories and images across channels, fill gaps from your supplier data, fix errors that suppress listings and set the template for new products. The same assistant then maintains the catalog daily so it does not drift back. A catalog project starts with a sample of 50 products you approve, so the standard is agreed before the rest are touched.
