How are remote amazon specialists vetted?
5 gates, in order. A candidate who fails one does not reach the next.
- English and phone assessment
- Typing and tool tests
- Background check
- NDA and security onboarding
- Shadowing and QA scorecard
Candidates who clear all 5 gates are proposed to you by name within 72 hours.
Candidates write a Seller Support case for a planted stranded-inventory scenario and reply to a buyer threatening a one-star review, then walk through both on a call. We want precise, calm written English, because most of this role's influence happens in a case log.
A timed Seller Central exercise: fix a suppressed listing, build a shipment plan for three SKUs with correct prep and labels, pull a Business Report and find the ASIN losing the Buy Box, and reconcile a sample settlement file in a spreadsheet.
Identity, address and employment verified, references from previous marketplace or e-commerce roles, and confirmation that the candidate has never been associated with a suspended seller account.
Signed NDA, a Seller Central user permission set scoped to the role rather than the primary login, MFA, managed devices, and no downloads of customer data outside the reports the job needs.
The specialist shadows a senior on a live account, then works with the team lead reviewing listings and cases before submission for the first weeks. Monthly, the lead scores a sample on listing quality, case outcomes, response times, policy adherence and reconciliation accuracy.
The full pipeline is on the how we hire and manage assistants page. Assistants are employees of the group, never freelancers, and you never co-employ them.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to hire a remote Amazon specialist?
Plans depend on hours, desks and coverage. Get a staffing plan within 1 business day. For context, freelance marketplaces show a median of about $13 an hour for assistant-level work with high turnover cost (Zedtreeo and Nacho, 2026), a UK-based hire runs £3,000 to £5,000 a month against £900 to £2,000 offshore, and Australian onshore assistants publish A$39.90 to A$65 an hour. A dedicated AssistBPO Amazon specialist is one person for a block of hours each month, with the backup and team lead included.
Is it the same person every day?
Yes. One named specialist learns your ASINs, your prep rules, your case history and which Seller Support phrasing gets results for your category. A backup is trained on the account so a holiday does not leave a suppressed listing sitting for a week, and a team lead reviews the weekly report with you. You are not sharing a specialist with ten other sellers.
What hours will the specialist work?
Your hours, matched to the marketplace: US Eastern or Pacific for amazon.com, UK time for .co.uk, Australian Eastern for .com.au, from the group's two offices. Buyer messages carry a response window, so the shift is set so the queue is worked while your customers are awake. Sellers on several marketplaces usually run a small pod with a lead rather than one person stretched across time zones.
How are Amazon specialists vetted?
A written case and buyer-message assessment plus a call, a timed Seller Central test covering a suppressed listing, a shipment plan, a Business Report and a settlement reconciliation, a background check with references and a check for any link to suspended accounts, a signed NDA with scoped user permissions, and a supervised first weeks period. The team lead then scores listings, cases and response times monthly.
Is the specialist an employee or a contractor?
An employee of the group. AssistBPO is a division of SS Support Network LLC and every specialist is on our payroll with a manager, paid leave and a training path. We never place freelancers or contractors, you never co-employ anyone, and there is no agreement between you and the individual. You engage AssistBPO for a staffed marketplace desk, and the backup and team lead come with it.
Do you need my main Seller Central login?
No, and we prefer not to have it. You add the specialist as a user with the permissions the role needs, which Seller Central lets you scope by area. The account stays yours, MFA stays on your device, and you can remove the user in a minute. If you use Brand Registry or an agency's PPC access, those stay separate as well.
Can the specialist run our Amazon PPC?
Day-to-day monitoring, negative keyword harvesting, budget checks and reporting, yes. Full campaign strategy, bid optimization and launch structures belong with an ads assistant or your agency; the specialist keeps the keyword and competitor sheet current so whoever runs PPC has clean inputs. For sellers who want both on one desk, we pair the specialist with an ads assistant under one lead.
What about reviews and account health warnings?
The specialist requests reviews only through Amazon's own tools and never offers incentives, which keeps your account clean. Reviews and seller feedback are checked daily, policy-violating ones are reported for removal, and any account health notice is escalated to you the same day with a proposed plan of action drafted for your approval. Nothing is submitted to Amazon on a warning without your sign-off.
