Why do Orum users need a virtual assistant?
Orum exists to take the dead time out of calling. Operator dials across several numbers at once, detects a human answer, skips the mailboxes and phone trees and puts a caller into the conversation in about a second. That is only worth paying for when a trained person is sitting there when the connect arrives. Most teams cannot fill the seat every day: reps get pulled into demos and renewals, the session is canceled at short notice, and the list somebody cleaned last month goes cold. An assistant holds the session open. They prepare the list, sit in the Salesfloor next to your reps, take the connects, ask your qualifying questions, book the meeting, and write the outcome into Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach or Salesloft the same session. Consent and do-not-call scrubbing come first, and the team lead scores recordings against your scorecard.
What can a virtual assistant do inside Orum?
- Dial sessions in Operator
- Sits the session on a headset and a wired connection so a live answer reaches a person immediately, opens with your approved line rather than a pause, and never leaves a connect listening to silence.
- List preparation
- Builds the session list from the Salesforce report, HubSpot list or Outreach sequence you approved, removes records your rules exclude and scrubs against do-not-call records before the first dial.
- Number quality with Scout
- Acts on what Scout reports about invalid and low-quality numbers, retires dead numbers on the record instead of redialing them and flags accounts where every number on file is wrong.
- Qualifying and booking
- Asks the qualifying questions you wrote, books the meeting into the owner's calendar while the prospect is still live and sends the invite and agenda before ending the call.
- Voicemail and follow-up
- Drops your recorded message where a mailbox answers and sends the email or sequence step that matches the outcome, so a connect is never the end of the thread.
- CRM and sales engagement logging
- Writes the disposition, notes and next step into Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach or Salesloft in the same session, so the rep taking the meeting reads what was actually said.
- Salesfloor sessions
- Joins the shared calling room with your reps, takes live coaching from the manager listening in and posts the win to your team channel when a meeting is set.
- Coaching and QA
- Reviews what Coach flags on objections, talk time and scorecards with the team lead each month, then practices the objections that are costing meetings before the next session.
